Henry Joseph Piccinini
(July 06, 1930 - July 02, 2020) Henry J Piccinini of Hershey, PA and formerly of Chicago, IL. Loving husband to Joanne, Dearest father of Robert and Jean (Bruggemeier), grandfather to Olivia, Nicholas, Emily, Amy, Grace and Allison passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Thursday, July 2nd. Hank honorably served in the United States Navy, on the destroyer, USS Amen during the Korean conflict, as the ships radio communication specialist. He was honorably discharged in 1953 when he began a long career at Western Electric/AT&T he held a position in engineering until his retirement in 1990. Hank was an extraordinary man who walked the simple path in life. He preferred time with family and friends over material pursuits. He would choose an afternoon drink with a friend over an evening on the town. He will be remembered for his wry sense of humor, quiet demeanor, and devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra, participating in water sports, and watching the Chicago Cubs. Hank was a strong, proud, and good man. He is so loved and will be missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Tuesday, July 7th in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey PA 17033. Visitation will begin at 11:30am at the church. Inurnment will be private at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution in Hank's name to Residential Hospice, 100 Sterling Parkway #110, Mechanicsburg PA 17050.
