James J. Traynor passed away on Friday, December 10, 2021, at age 79. Jim was born on June 12, 1942. He was born in Philadelphia PA, attended Monsignor Bonner High School and Villanova University. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Joseph and Clare, and his brother Gerard. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Margaret Traynor. Lovingly remembered by his four daughters; Teresa Marks (John), Margaret Mary, Maureen Lintner (Ray) and Camille Stoner (Todd). His greatest joy was his 7 grandchildren; Delia McCubbin (Craig), Jimmy Marks, Alex Stoner, Zachary Lintner, Meaghan Lintner, Reagan Stoner, and Abigail Lintner. He had a full and enjoyable life. Jim retired after 40 years of service with Amtrak. He enjoyed his grandchildren's sporting and school events from grade school thru college. He was a very social man and giving person. He drove for the Hummelstown Elder Express for 3 years. Jim enjoyed trips to his cabin and spending time with neighbors, friends and family on the porch, with a beer and his pipe. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 11:00 AM in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, with The Rev. Fr. Alfred P. Sceski as celebrant. Friends are invited to the viewing Wednesday in the church from 10:00 AM until time of the service. Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown, is entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lehigh Valley Health Network, Office of Philanthropy, 2100 Mack Blvd., PO Box 1883, Allentown, PA 18105-1883.
