Joanne Marie Spaziani Strohm, 85, of Palmyra, and formerly of Hershey, passed away on October 28, 2020. She was born March 12, 1935 in Derry Township, a daughter of the late Samuel and Esther (Deimler) Wiestling. Joanne was a 1954 graduate of the former Hummelstown High School. She took great pride in being a homemaker and being a foster mother to over 45 infants. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Palmyra and had been a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey.
Joanne is survived by her daughters, Christine (Tony) Tatangelo of Hummelstown, Kathleen (Lynn) Leo of Palmyra, Teresa (Ted) Mortensen of Hershey and Patricia (Michael) Linton of Elizabethtown, 12 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sisters, Beverly Heisey and Frances Albert both of Palmyra; brother, Wallace "Mike" Wiestling of Middletown. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Nick J. Spaziani and Warren L. Strohm as well as her siblings, Robert and Nancy Wiestling. Due to current Covid 19 restrictions there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:00 am in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 101 Erford Road Suite 201, Camp Hill PA 17011 or the Four Diamonds, 1249 Cocoa, Suite 115, Hershey PA 17033 Share condolences at www.hooverfuneralhome.com
