John H. McCormick, 77, of Hershey, passed away on April 16, 2018.
He was born May 20, 1940 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, son of the late John and Henriette (Linossier) McCormick. John earned his Master's Degree in Food Science and had retired from Hershey Foods Tech Center where he was a chemical engineer. His memberships include of St. Joan of Arc Church in Hershey where he was involved in the Little Rock Bible Study. He was also a member and founder of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineering. John is survived by his wife, Rosemary T. (Michaud) McCormick; sons, Martin of Hershey and Andrew (Jennifer) of Carlisle; daughters, Kathleen (George) Araujo of Long Island, NY and Maria (Viking) Huffman of Palmyra; 4 grandchildren; sisters, Margaret McCormick and Maureen Davidson; a brother, Jim McCormick. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 11AM in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests in the church at 10:30AM. Interment will follow in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to: Heart of the Parish Fund, St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033. Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., of Hershey, is handling the arrangements.
