Joseph Eugene Caloiero, 70, of Hershey, passed away on March 18, 2019 in the Hershey Medical Center, surrounded by his family.
He was born January 21, 1949 in Harrisburg, son of the late Joseph and Sophia (Basulto) Caloiero. Joe recently retired from the Penn State Hershey Medical Center where he was a psychotherapist. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the U.S. Army Reserves. He loved music and was a professional musician for 55 years, playing bass and singing vocals. Joe is survived by his wife, Vicki Ann (Pasquini) Caloiero of Hershey; son, Joseph (Katie) Caloiero of Franklin, TN; son, Vincent (Erica) Caloiero of Shelburne, VT; son, John-Paul Caloiero of Philadelphia; granddaughters, Lilia and Evie Caloiero of Shelburne, VT; brother, Richard (Cheryl) Caloiero of Hershey; aunt, Josephine Barnes of Harrisburg; nephews and nieces(Vincent & Nicholas Pasquini and Richard & Leigh Caloiero); and his beloved Maremma Sheepdog Tessa. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 11AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. There will be no visitation or viewing. Please omit flowers. The family has requested memorial contributions be made to either: St Joan of Arc School (make a contribution here) or The Hershey-Derry Township Historical Society & Museum.
