June Novatnak (1931-2022)

​June Novatnak, 91, of Hershey, formerly of Beaver Meadows, PA, passed away on July 11, 2022. She was born June 4, 1931, in Coxeville, PA, daughter of the late John Salko and Mary (Berish) Salko. June had owned June's Beauty Salon and later worked at Doctor's Choice Rehabilitation Clinic in Pottsville. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Among June's many qualities and talents was her great love and compassion for her family, friends, and church. June is survived by; daughter, Donna Nooney, grandson Shane Nooney; daughter-in-law Patricia Novatnak; grandchildren, Aleksandr (Lindsay) Novatnak, great-grandson Baylen Novatnak, Katrina (Ryan) Greenawalt; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Reese Greenawalt and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, George "Corky" Novatnak; and son, Dr. David G. Novatnak; son-in-law Francis J. Nooney; siblings Elmer Salko and John Salko Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 22 at 10:30 AM, in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey, PA 17033. Graveside services will follow in the Calvary Cemetery Chapel in Drums, PA, at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey or the American Heart Association.
