Kerry Elizabeth Sachs Taylor, age 45 of Annville PA, passed from this life to the next on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at her home. Born September 7, 1972, to Daniel and Vivian (Blaha) Sachs, in Stevens Point WI, Kerry was the youngest of six. Her childhood was filled with joy, love, laughter, and sunshine.
Kerry attended Vincentian High School in Pittsburgh PA. There, she met the love of her life and future husband of 22 years, David J. Taylor, Jr. Kerry graduated in 1994, with honors, from Marquette University in Milwaukee WI. A natural caregiver, she worked as a physical therapist, bringing healing and comfort to the elderly. Kerry and David married in 1995 and developed many cherished friendships as they moved for family and careers. They were blessed with daughter Sarah in WI and son David in PA. For the past 12 years they have made a happy home and life with their children in south-central PA. Kerry felt so much awe and inspiration when traveling. In recent years, she was delighted to travel more and treasured her experiences in the Smoky Mountains, NYC, Door County, West Palm Beach, London, and Ireland. Two of her favorite excursions were to Napa and Sonoma, CA. Kerry loved a good fruity Cabernet or buttery Chardonnay. To say that Kerry was a magnificent gardener would be insufficient. A great lover of trees and flowers, Kerry perfected her skills each and every spring. Ultimately, Kerry was a gardener who knew the most important seeds she would plant would be those of love, strength, compassion, and kindness in the hearts of those lucky enough to be in her life. She planted, and then carefully tended that, her most important garden. Kerry lived to bring happiness to the world. Without exception, she always gave more than she took. She volunteered with Big Brothers – Big Sisters, sponsored seven different children through UNBOUND, and used her therapy skills to help infirmed friends through her church and neighborhood. Kerry is survived by her husband David, her beloved children Sarah Elizabeth and David Daniel; her parents Daniel and Vivian Sachs of New London WI; Lynn (Jim) Sachs Christmas, Bryan (Kathy) Sachs, Michele (Keith) Sachs Degner, Gail (Forrest) Sachs Gallagher, Cheryl (David) Sachs DeBoer; and 14 nieces and nephews. She is further survived by Albert and Frances Horn, Jimmy and Renee (Taylor) Smith. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 5th at 11:00am in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Viewing will be held from 5:00 – 8:00PM on Wednesday, October 4th and also Thursday morning October 5th from 9:30 – 10:30AM at the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey. If desired, memorial contributions can be made to the Penn State Cancer Institute, 500 University Drive, Hershey PA 17033. Source:
