Lucy M. Heisey (nee: Lucia Massimina Simonetti), 80, of Hershey passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 7, 1933 in Hershey, a daughter of the late Emidio and Assunta (Veronesi) Simonetti. Lucy was a graduate of Hershey High School. She retired from St. Joan of Arc School in Hershey, where she worked in the cafeteria, and worked many years for HERCO. She was an avid bingo player and loved to take day trips to Atlantic City, N.J.
She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Raymond Heisey Sr.; her sisters, Erma Hurley and Mary Simonetti; and her brothers, Louis and Geno Simonetti. Surviving are her three children; daughter, Susan Miller of Hershey; and sons, Raymond Heisey Jr. and wife Rachael of Overland Park, Kansas, and Brian Heisey and wife Missie of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Christi (Miller) Eckert, Nicole Miller, Amanda Heisey, Kacey Heisey and Benjamin Heisey; two great grandsons, Bailey and Blayke Eckert. Hospice of Central Pennsylvania provided compassionate and professional care for Lucy for many years. A viewing will be held Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at 11:30 a.m. in the Hoover Funeral Home in Hershey followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, Hershey, Interment will be in the Grandview Memorial Park, Annville, Pa. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 3544 N. Progress Avenue, Suite 204, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
