Margaret C. Burke (1927-2019)

Margaret C. Burke, 92, of Hershey, passed away on April 24, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 11, 1927 in Carbondale, daughter of the late Edward and Anna Burns.

She was a faithful member of St. Joan of Arc Church of Hershey. Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, devoting her life to raising her family. She is survived by 4 Sons: John, Jr. and wife Diane, Robert R. and wife Clarisse, Edward L. and wife Erin, Kevin J. and wife Ruth; 3 daughters: Carol and husband Thomas Hand, Mary Lou and husband Fran Kulbacki, and Colleen Mummert; 17 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, John J. Burke; an infant daughter, Ann; and sisters, Dorothy Blair and Ann Mizianty.

A visitation will be held in the Hoover Funeral Home of Hershey on Monday, April 29 from 10 - 11:30AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12 Noon in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The family would like to give special thanks to Bill Lutz for his daily spiritual comfort and support for Margaret.
