Margaret Florence (Hilzinger) Craig, of Hershey, born March 16, 1923 and baptized in St. Brigid Church in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at the Masonic Village in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, George John Craig, who died in 1990.
She was an active member of the Country Meadows of Hershey and Masonic Village Communities, loved roller skating, dance, nature, museums and Irish Pubs. Above all she was deeply dedicated to her family, church and community. Surviving are her four children and families: Christina Estelle Avella, and husband, Nicola, and their children, Alicia and Nicola; Margaret Craig Deegan and husband, Patrick, and their children, Patrick and Jacob; George Craig and his wife, Candace, and their children, Jessica and George; Timothy Craig and his wife, Jill, and their children, Ethan, Michael, and Caitlin. There are also six great grandchildren surviving her. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 4:00PM, on Thursday, October 3rd in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey PA, 17033. Private interment will be in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, NY. There will be no viewing. Friends will be received beginning at 6:00pm on Thursday evening at the home of Timothy and Jill Craig.
