Maria Ibanez (1942-2022)

Maria Teresa Ibanez, 80, of Palmyra, passed away on May 24, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born January 2, 1942, in Monteria, Colombia, daughter of the late Elis and Candelaria Gonzalez. She had worked as a Nurse's Aid for the Middletown Home and was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church as well as a volunteer at the Hershey Public Library and Palmyra Food Bank. Maria is survived by her husband, Evaristo Ibanez; daughters, Angela P. Reigel (Chad) and Luz "Lucy" Elena Hamilton (Chris); grandchildren, Delaney Elizabeth Reigel, Chandler Michael Reigel and Keenan Michael (Madeline) Reigel, Liam Robert Hamilton, Luke Christopher Hamilton and Lance Matthew Hamilton and cousin, Alba Delgado. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28, 2022, at 11AM in St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30AM. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to: American Cancer Society, PO Box 862, Pittsburgh, PA 15106.
