Marion Lang, daughter of Lynn and Sara Corbin, born on February 8, 1924 in Friendship, NY, passed away on September 17, 2018. She was a most loving mother to Linda Killi (Dan) of Parkland, FL, Barbara Radulski (Barry) of Dunwoody, Ga, Martin Lang (Ralph) of Huntington, NY, Susan Wiesley (Dave) of Salt Lake City, UT, Diane Christ (Scott) of Palmyra, PA, and Elizabeth Mark (Kurt) of Hummelstown, PA, and grandmother to Jennifer Marshall, Michael Killi, Sara Wynn, Kristen Herrin, Brett and Adam Wiesley, Alexandra and Faith Mark, and 11 great grandchildren.
Formerly of Palmyra, PA and Lindenhurst, NY, Marion grew up on her family dairy farm on Corbin Hill in upstate NY, and graduated with a teaching degree from Fredonia University. She moved to Long Island, NY and taught the elementary grades for years, but suspended her career to raise her children and help her husband Martin with his business. Marion will always be remembered for her quiet graceful way and kindness. She showed her love for her children by showering them with patience and understanding, by cooking and baking for them, and taking care of them with a gentle hand. She loved to sew and read, sing and listen to music, garden and travel, and spend time with her family. Marion was a member of St. Joan of Arc Church, sang in the choir there, and also in the Hershey Community Chorus. She also volunteered for many groups within the church and various other organizations. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Thursday, September 20th, at 5:00pm followed by visitation until 7:00 pm in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory in Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Saint Joan of Arc Catholic Church on Friday, September 21st at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her granddaughter Jennifer Marshall’s mental health non-profit organization, thisismybrave.org. We will miss her dearly, but are comforted by her strong faith in God. Source: http://www.hooverfuneralhome.com/obituary/marion-lang
