Mary J. Butch, 74, of Hershey, recently passed away in her home. She was born in Hershey on October 13, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph P Butch Sr. and Effie Croci Butch. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, James Butch, William Butch and Joseph Butch Jr.
Mary was a graduate of Lebanon Catholic High School and the former Harrisburg School of Nursing. She had been employed by the Commonwealth of PA, the former Elizabethtown Crippled Children’s Hospital, and in the office at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey, and long-time Hershey Bears Season Ticket Holder. Mary enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews, reading, gardening, and going to the beach. She is survived by her sister in laws, Jean Butch, Jennifer Butch and Betty Butch; six nephews; Andrew, Anthony, James Jr., Joseph, Nicholas, and Ryan Butch; three nieces, Elizabeth Ryglicki, Stephanie Johnson, and Susan Forsyth; numerous great nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday July 20, 2022, at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Visitation will begin at 10:00am in the church. Interment will be private at the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to, Heart of the Parish, 305 W. Areba Avenue, Hershey, Pa 17033.
