Michael L. Pinca, 59, of Hershey, was called home by his heavenly Father, early on August 28, 2014, with his loving and caring family by his side. We know the angels were waiting for his arrival. He is in heaven now. His family, relatives, friends and neighbors will miss him terribly. Michael was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on October 21, 1954, to the late Gladys I. (Sipe) Pinca and the late Walter J. Pinca, Sr.
He was a graduate of Hershey High School. He played football, hockey and was on the track team. Michael was employed as an electrical engineer and instructor in various nuclear power plants across the country. He was a youth hockey coach and volunteered at ChocolateFest for many years. He was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey. Michael was a spirit that helped anyone in need and was absolutely committed to family. He was a very kind and forgiving soul, generous with his time, always the best host, and could fix anything with all of his ingenuity. He had a quirky sense of humor and was quite a philosopher. He is survived by: two brothers, Walter J. Pinca, Jr. and wife Karen, and Ted M. Pinca and wife Ann; two sisters, Linda S. Pinca and husband Steve, and Joanne P. Reinbold; also surviving are many nieces and nephews whom he dearly loved. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, September 4th in his church, at 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey. Visitations will be Wednesday evening, September 3rd, from 6-8pm and also from 9:30 -10:30am on Thursday morning in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Hershey. Interment following the mass will be in Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, Central PA Chapter, 2405 Park Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg PA 17110 or to the Memorial Fund at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey PA 17033 Source Link: http://obits.pennlive.com/obituaries/pennlive/obituary.aspx?n=michael-lee-pinca&pid=172310516&fhid=28162
