Patricia Bray, 76, of Hummelstown, entered eternal life on Saturday, December 31st at the Hershey Medical Center.
She was the wife of Dr. John Bray, who preceded her in death, and a devoted and loving sister, aunt, and friend. She is survived by her brother, Chuck Kray and wife Sara of Hershey, brother-in-law William Metherell of Harrisburg, nieces Lori Riddle of Hummelstown and Sandra Kray Blannett and husband Chadd of Hershey, nephews Tim Fake and wife Janet of Elizabethtown, David Kray and wife Cecilia of Hershey, and Michael Kray of Seattle. Pat was also preceded in death by her father and mother, Stanley and Irene Kray of Palmyra, and sister Marilyn Metherell of Harrisburg. Pat was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Palmyra in 1961. She graduated nursing school from St. Alexis Hospital and worked as an RN at Polyclinic Hospital, where she met her husband. Together they were avid dog lovers, and enjoyed raising and showing many dogs over the years. They loved to travel the world as well as spend time at their home in Myrtle Beach. Pat also enjoyed reading, knitting, volunteering at Nye Elementary School, and most of all, spending time with her family and lifelong friends. One of Pat's greatest joys was following the activities and accomplishments of her nieces, nephews, and their children. Her sense of humor was infectious, and she was always able to make those around her happy and help fill a room with laughter. Pat was caring, concerned, and an integral part of so many lives. Pat is a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue in Hershey, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday January 4th at 11:00AM. Visitation will be from 10:15AM until time of Mass at the church. Burial will be in Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , the American Lung Association , or the Humane Society of Harrisburg.
