Pete Marcucci, 91 of Hershey passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center with his family by his side. Pete was born in Palermo, Italy on February 16, 1931, son of the late Guilio and Matilda Marcucci. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife, Elsie (Carlucetti) Marcucci, two sisters, Olga Sechrist and Alba (Wallace) DeAngelis, and grandson, Matthew Pritchett.
Pete is survived by his daughter, Judy (Marcucci) Pritchett, wife of Kyle Pritchett, and a son, John Marcucci, husband of Gina Marcucci, four grandchildren, Krystin, wife of Emneko Sweeney, Gordon, Lewis, and Carmen, Five great-grandchildren, Taylor, Marcus, Cameron, Cosette, and Charles, and many extended family and friends. Pete was an exceptional loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He adored his family. He was an avid tennis and golf enthusiast, and loved the Yankees and Notre Dame. One of his greatest joys was attending his great-grandsons’ Hershey Basketball and Football games. He was their loyal fan. Pete also loved spending time with his faithful companion, his dog Harley. Pete retired from The Hershey Company (formerly Hershey Foods) where he worked in the Millwright Dept. He then went to work for Hershey’s Chocolate World as their Maintenance Supervisor, and was instrumental in the development of the building and tour ride. After retirement he enjoyed working with his son at Chocolate Covers, LTD. Pete was a Korean War Veteran, and served in the United States Navy in 1952, and the United States Army from 1952-1954. He married the love of his life in 1954. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 28 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 W. Areba Ave., Hershey. Visitation will be from10:00-11:00 prior to Mass at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humanity Gifts Registry, which benefits Pennsylvania Medical Education and Research Programs, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Humanity Gifts Registry,P.O. Box 835, Philadelphia PA 19105-0835. Interment with Military Honors will be private at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.
