Phyllis (DiDomenico) Pappariella, 92, of Hershey, was called home by her Eternal Father on May 27, 2018. Family always came first with Phyllis. She was a loving mother and grandmother and she especially loved her great-grandchildren. Phyllis was an accomplished cook and baker. Her family craved her Sunday dinners, which usually featured three types of homemade pasta, meatballs and sauce. She led a simple, God-fearing, family-loving life.
Phyllis was very active in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Over the years she was a Girl Scout leader, kindergarten teacher and volunteer in the church office. She was active in the Areba Club and supported many other activities with her time and efforts. Her favorite activity in her later years was working at the church's annual flea market in the jewelry department. Phyllis is survived by her son Greg (Linda), granddaughters Erin (Jacob) Doan, Beth (Daniel) Shaughnessy, great-grandchildren Macy and Liam Shaughnessy and Luke Doan and her sister Carol(ine) Creech. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Gabriel, her parents, Nicoletta (Riggio) and Aldorino DiDomenico and her brother Nick DiDomenico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday, May 31st in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Hershey Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating to the Heart of the Parish Fund, St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue, Hershey, PA 17033 or Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Drive, #100, Camp Hill, PA 17011.
