Regina V. Pronio, 97, a lifelong resident of Hershey, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in the Lebanon Valley Home in Annville.
She was born February 19, 1916 in Hummelstown, daughter of the late Alfredo and Hilda (Thomas) Pronio. Regina graduated from Hershey High School - class of 1934, and went right to work for Hershey Chocolate and continued working until her retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Hershey, and served as church organist for 58 years. Other memberships include the Areba Club; Derry Twp. Historical Society; Hershey AARP; and a Hershey Medical Center Volunteer. Regina is survived by; nieces and nephews, Dr. Tom Modesto, Loretta Doty, Claire Padial, Regina Bowman, Jill Susi and Harry Susi; brother, Claudio Pronio; step-mother, Lidia Pronio. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Alma and Norma. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2013, from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, in the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., in Hershey, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in the St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to St. Joan of Arc School, 359 West Areba Ave. Hershey, PA 17033.
