Richard Conway (1924 - 2014)

Richard J. Conway, 89, of Hershey passed away on Sunday, January 26, 2014.

He was born March 19, 1924 in Manhattan, NY, a son of the late Richard and Elizabeth (Clark) Conway.
Richard was a retired special agent for the U. S. Customs Service, Department of the Treasury; a WWII Navy and Marines veteran; a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Hershey.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Marie T. (O'Keefe) Conway; 5 sons, Richard M. Conway of Peekskill, NY, Michael C. (Anne) Conway of Hyattsville, MD, Major Patrick T. (Gloria) Conway of Jacksonville, FL, Daniel J. (Kristine) Conway of Fairfax, VA, John E. (Rose Marie) Conway of Hastings on Hudson, NY; 2 daughters, Mary Martin of Summerville, NC and Brigid Conway of Union Beach, NJ, 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a brother, Edward Conway of St. Augustine, FL.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2014, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Route 422 & Lucy Avenue, Hershey where the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:30 am in the St. Joan of Arc Church, 359 West Areba Ave., Hershey. Interment will be in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Hershey Medical Center Dept. of Kidney Dialysis, University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033.
