Surrounded by his loving family, Thomas Lynn Nolt, 84, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2017 in the Church of God Nursing Home, Carlisle Pa.
Thomas was born in Strausstown, PA, on July 1, 1932 to Arthur H. and Pauline (Longsderff) Nolt and was raised in Lititz. Preceding him in death were brothers Arthur Nolt Jr of Texas, Reginald Nolt of Conestoga, and sister Pauline Kamm of Lititz. He is survived by his older brother Richard Nolt and wife Lin Yin of Lancaster, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Tom enlisted in the Army after high school and met his wife, Marion Rose Skotek, during that time. Happily married for almost 60 years, they resided in Hershey where Tom was employed by G.R. Sponaugle and Sons for over 35 dedicated years as a Superintendent in the electrical and plumbing fields. Thomas is survived by two daughters, Linda N. Naugle, married to David Naugle, of Mt. Holly Springs Pa; and Cynthia Ann Lepperd, married to Michael K. Lepperd of Carlisle; two grandsons; Kristoffer Jon Morris and his wife Jessica from East Waterford, Pa; Jonathan Michael Lepperd of Carlisle; and his beloved dog Chloe. In 2004, Tom and Marion moved to Carlisle Pa to be closer to their daughters. Tom took up golfing and bowling, and in earlier years he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with friends. He was a great husband, fantastic father, and a reliable friend always willing to lend a hand to anyone. He will be sadly missed. Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening March 21st from 6-8pm and also Wednesday morning March 22nd from 9:30-10:30am in the Hoover Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Rt 422 and Lucy Avenue, Hershey. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church, 359 West Areba Avenue in Hershey on Wednesday at 11:00 am with burial to follow at the Hershey Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Tom's name to the Salvation Army or Bethesda Mission in Harrisburg.
